Kansas City Royals Game

Our two weeks of family vacation came to end this morning when Keith had to go back to work and I spent the morning volunteering at church.  All good things must come to an end!  But we did have fun!  This week I will try to get the posts from vacation all on the blog because next week is back to school for us.
Last week we spent a few days in Kansas City.  On Monday morning we left home to make the little less than 5 hour trip south to KC.  We stopped in Council Bluffs for lunch to go.  We arrived at our hotel at 3:00 p.m. to check-in.  The kids immediately wanted to check out the pool and swim for a little while before heading to the Kansas City Royals game.
This was the Royals first night back in Kansas City after being on the road for the previous 8 games.  This started the first day of a 10 game stretch at home.  Monday nights are sponsored by Hy-Vee.  We bought the cheap tickets in the upper deck for $7 a piece and sat down to watch the game.  The fans were glad to have the Royals back in town.  The Royals were playing the Minnesota Twins.
The game finished with the Royals winning 13-0.  They scored multiple times in more than one inning.  One inning 6 runs were scored.  The Royals scored so much that Justin had a hard time keeping track of the score.  We all enjoyed the game.

Take care,
Michelle
