Christmas Day Activities

Christmas Day at our home is meant to be a day of relaxation.  After opening presents, the day is spent playing.  If can even stay in your pajamas all day because we do not go anywhere all day, we stay home and just enjoy the day.
Justin started right in on building the Lego King Castle that was 996 pieces separated into 10 bags of fun to be built.  He had three booklets of instructions and he was ready to start building.
Erica and Cara spent quite a bit of time listening to music with their new Dre' Beats headphones.
Cara was also busy texting her friends to find out what Santa had brought them.  In this photo Cara has on many of her Christmas gifts, new headphones, new headband, new shirt, new slippers, and new yoga pants.  She must have been a good girl to get all those new things.
Ashlin was busy trying out her new Nook.  She spent time figuring out how to use it and played games.
Grandpa and Grandma Leader came to visit in the afternoon.  The kids informed Grandma right away about a project that they wanted to do with her.  The kids found this gingerbread house kit in the storeroom while putting up Christmas decorations.
Grandma Leader and Erica did most of the work on the gingerbread house.  It turned out great!
Keith made a Christmas dinner of prime rib, baked potatoes, and corn.  Grandma Leader brought the dinner rolls and butterfinger dessert.  The meal was delicious!
After dinner, Grandma Leader brought out this Sequence game and the game started playing with teams.  It was day spent relaxing and spending time with family.

Take care,
Michelle
