Justin's Soccer Evaluation

Justin has been counting the days for the last week leading up to Saturday and his day at the YMCA for his soccer evaluation.  He was so excited to finally get to participate in an activity like his older sisters.  Justin is 4 1/2 years old and it is finally time for him to join in the fun instead of having to sit and watch his sisters.
Saturday's evaluations for 3 & 4 year olds.  They were put through a series of drills and then rated on their performance.  A big thing to watch for was how they listened and followed directions and how long their attention span was.  Yes, that is me in the background of these photos.  Somehow I got talked into being a soccer coach this spring.  They really put the pressure on you to coach when you are signing up 3 kids to play soccer.  Therefore, I will be Justin's soccer coach.  During this drill, Justin had to run the length of the soccer field and be timed.  I was standing at the half field line helping with another drill and he ran to me instead of continuing onward down the field.
Here Justin is getting ready to kick the ball through a goal.  He is lining up his shot and ready to run up on the ball.
Ready for another shot attempt.  The coach evaluating commented on how well Justin listened to directions and waited his turn.  He was so excited and now he is counting the days until his first practice.

Take care,
Michelle
