On Easter Sunday the kids were up early. I'm not even sure if the sun was up when Justin came in our bedroom and announced that the Easter bunny had brought eggs and stuff. Justin, Ashlin and Erica did a fast egg hunt and looked through their loot. The Easter bunny brought summer essentials: bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and new sand toys for the younger ones. Erica received the new Pink CD and Cara found an App Store gift card in her Easter bucket. Then it was declared time to get ready for Easter Mass. Naturally, church was packed, but we found a pew to squeeze into for the service.
After Mass and a quick stop at home to change clothes, we headed north to Bloomfield to Grandpa and Grandma Leader's house for Easter dinner and an egg hunt. The hunters this year were Ashlin, Erica, Justin, Jake and Sam. A few cousins decided that they were too old to hunt eggs, but Grandma did make them find their egg with their name on it for a prize of a $2 bill.
How could Ashlin grab one egg off of the clothes line, but leave the eggs behind in the rose bush and on the landscape light?Justin was a blur as he raced around the backyard searching for eggs.
Erica stuck to looking for eggs in higher locations rather than on the ground.
The rest of the afternoon was spent looking at Holly's wedding photos, visiting and playing cards.
Take care,
Michelle

ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day. At least you guys had nice weather for Easter. It was rainy and cold here in Ohio.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had a great Easter. We were so disappointed we couldn't be there this year. Boo hoo!
